The R_volution PlayerOne 8K Signature Edition is an upgraded version of the PlayerOne 8K with premium electronic components.

Display shielded by a massive pure copper plate.
Furutech Rhodium AC Inlet with high end fuse.
Bottom cover damping against resonances.
Top cover damping with a massive 2mm steel plate added with special glue.
Mainboard modification (buffering and filtering).
Additional filter components to the HDD power supply.
Insulation material for the internal HDD.
Special EMI absorber to all clocks (HF shielding).
Ferrit cores to many cables (HF shielding).

The R_volution PlayerOne 8K Signature Edition is a full digital transport media player. It does not include expensive useless DAC. Our goal was to design an ultra-high fidelity media player dedicated exclusively to high-performance home theater.
Results compared the PlayerOne 8K:
The picture looks cleaner and more stable. There is less noise in the deep blacks resulting in 3D effect with better respect of the color grading especially in the dark parts of the picture. Film grain looks less artificial and the image shows less motion blur.
The digital sound is much better and cleaner.
The sound experience is subtler, smoother and more balanced.
The Signature Edition sounds much more natural with less harsh highs and more detail in the midrange.
The soundstage is more defined with more depth and better three-dimensionality.
