Laat je meeslepen in je muziek met de MCT500 SACD/CD Transport.
De MCT500 is een puur digitale transporteenheid en beschikt over vier digitale uitgangen: een gebalanceerde uitgang, coaxiale en optische uitgangen volgens industriestandaard, plus de exclusieve McIntosh MCT-connector. Voor het afspelen van gewone cd’s kan de MCT500 worden gekoppeld aan elk apparaat met digitale ingangen en een DAC (digital-to-analog converter), waaronder diverse McIntosh homecinema-processors, geïntegreerde versterkers en voorversterkers.
Voor SACD-weergave moet de exclusieve MCT-uitgang via de meegeleverde kabel worden aangesloten op een McIntosh-apparaat met een MCT-ingang. Compatibele apparaten zijn onder andere de D1100, C55, C2800, C49 en D150 voorversterkers, evenals de MA9500, MA8950, MA7200, MA5300 geïntegreerde versterkers en de MAC7200 receiver. Wanneer de MCT500 is aangesloten op een van deze toestellen, wordt een beveiligde digitale verbinding tot stand gebracht, waarmee de hoge-resolutie audio van SACD’s in volle glorie kan worden weergegeven. Ook gewone cd’s kunnen via deze MCT-verbinding worden afgespeeld.
De MCT500 speelt alle gangbare schijfformaten af, waaronder SACD, CD, CD-R/RW en DVD-R. Een twin-laser optische pickup zorgt voor optimale uitlezing van discs. Op het frontpaneel bevindt zich een USB-ingang voor gemakkelijke toegang. Naast commerciële cd’s en SACD’s kunnen via zelfgebrande CD- of DVD-datadiscs en USB-sticks ook populaire audioformaten worden afgespeeld zoals AAC, AIFF, ALAC, DSD (tot DSD128), FLAC, MP3, WAV (tot 24-bit/192kHz) en WMA.¹
Het disc-transport is ontworpen voor soepele en stille werking, met een precisie aluminium lade en geavanceerde digitale servo voor snelle, nauwkeurige werking. Audio-informatie wordt met dubbele snelheid gelezen voor betere tracking en foutcorrectie.
Integratie met andere McIntosh-componenten verloopt via Power Control en datapoorten. De MCT500 is vormgegeven in de klassieke McIntosh-stijl met een gepolijst roestvrijstalen chassis, zwart glazen frontpaneel, verlicht logo en aluminium eindkappen.
